The whole purpose of farming is to reap a harvest. It would be foolish for a farmer to use the time and effort and finances to plant crops and then fail to harvest them. Yet Jesus says that is what is taking place in this world. There is a spiritual harvest that God has prepared, but there is a lack of harvesters. Jesus gives specific instruction to his people on the priorities of the harvest and what we must do so that this harvest is accomplished. There are four priorities (responsibilities) that are given to God's people so that this harvest is accomplished.
