This is how the Apostle Paul encouraged Timothy, even as Roman persecution intensified, and false teachers distorted the gospel. Paul’s charge to Timothy is God’s charge to us today: “… Stir up the gift of God which is in you…” (2 Timothy 1:6, NKJV).
