Continuing on in our excursus of Romans 7, we began this week discussing the Apostle's analogy relating to the believer's relationship to the Law. The discussion likens how in a marriage, only death frees a spouse to remarry without being guilty of adultery. However, the Apostle Paul tweaks, or turns on its head, the analogy noting, not that the Law is dead to us in every sense but, rather, we, in Christ, have become dead to the law, and such cannot be used for our justification.
