Today we address Isaiah 41:1-29. God had showed Himself great in chapter 40:12-31, able to control history. Now in Isaiah 41 God promises to deliver His remnant from bondage in Babylon. He would raise up his servant, Cyrus, king of Persia, to defeat Babylon and then release God’s people to return to their homeland. This was fulfilled in the latter 500s BC. Here we learn some of the ways of our God to bring salvation to His people.
