James is sometimes referred to as the "Proverbs of the New Testament" and in this text St. James gives advice to the Church. He calls wisdom and unity. Worldly wisdom is contrasted with the wisdom that comes from God. Unity in the Church is centered around Jesus Christ and His Gospel.
