Barnabas was willing but determined to take John Mark. Paul insisted they should not take John because he left them on the first trip. Unable to reconcile, Barnabas took John and sailed to Cyprus, while Paul took Silas, and with commendation from the brethren in Antioch went through Syria and Cilicia strengthening the churches.Wise leaders anticipate conflict. They know it has been part of ministry leadership since the founding of the church.God takes care of His hurting servants when they are faithful to their call and ministry. Paul is a dynamic example in continuing on despite being bombarded with setback after setback.How can we passionately return to our first love with God? Remember your roots. Return to His Word. Remove all other love. To "re-turn" to God, we must "turn away" from competing lovers. ... Rest in His companionship.
