When the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and half the tribe of Manasseh came to the land of Gilead, they had to make a choice. Although this land was perfect for raising cattle, it was not in the promised land. They'll choose for second best and then use reason, logic, and manipulation to justify their poor choice.
