This message is one of two final messages directly about Jennifer Marie Van Leuven, Pastor's late wife, whom we buried last Friday, September 23, 2016. It is meant to help with transition into closure and acceptance and more comfort.
In 2 Samuel 12:15-24a, David deals with the news of his baby's death first by desperately appealing for God to spare his son's life, and then by soberly accepting God's providence so he can go on with his life through offering and receiving comfort.
Don't ever give up on life until God's answer is clear and final. When God's final answer is death, you must deal with it and move on with your life. The way you move on with your life after a loved one's death is by comforting those who share your loss and by receiving their comfort. It's OK to Seek Out Comfort for Yourself.
