We begin today a new series of sermons on Paul’s First Epistle to the Thessalonians. Although I have taught and preached a number of times from this book, I have never taught through it verse by verse until now. I do not know how long we will be in this book. It only has five chapters, but the subject matter itself may be conducive to more detail and more time. Today we will need to say some words of “introduction” to this epistle, as we would do so at the beginning of a study of any book of the Bible. And then we will give attention to the Greeting of the apostle in verse 1.
