Great Sermon! Thank you for rightly dividing the Word of Truth. You are an encouragement to no small degree. I pray the LORD will keep you close to Himself. I pray the LORD will bless you with strength, physical and spiritual. I pray the LORD will protect you from the evil one. I pray the LORD will protect you from yourself. Brother, I pray for you! Paul Joel 2:32.

Great Sermon! a long while back I entered a "Spanish church called the door...I left after 10 minutes ..I was followed out by a few of the deacons or bouncers..who knows..they kinda intimidated me about why I left..I told them the music was just like the world..they did not like that..We are to be seprate from the world..that includes our dress..music..life style and all the above..if you don't like what I say, maybe you are in love with the world.

I love you bro, remember: Christ First Addressing the end of the sermon:
Acts 17:11
1Corinthians 4:6
1 Corinthians 10:15
Phillipians 1:9-11
Proverbs 28:7
We are not to take what you say as absolute truth, you are not God. If I took what every preacher said as absolute truth there would be so so many contradictions.
Addressing 1 Corinthians 14:34:
When speaking of the law Paul was referring to
the Roman law, and that we are to obey the laws of the land (Romans 13:2). It is also speculated that this and Parts of Romans 11 were added later.
I agree with you that we should not conform to the patterns of this world (aka sin). But where do you draw the line? The music behind hymns was originally bar music... So if we are to be avoiding creating music that sounds like secular music, we should avoid hymns too. I believe that no matter what genre of music you play you're gonna find a secular counterpart that sounds the same but has ungodly lyrics. Personally I listen to a lot of Christian Metal and what I see again and again is nonChristians making comments like "I love the music but I hate the lyrics". The world hates it for one reason and one reason alone, because it glorifies God. Is it wrong to make good sounding music? God wants our best right? Shouldn't we give him our best music?

Great Sermon! It is so great to be able to be in WV and still be able to hear the great teachings of Pastor Mark Minnick. When I was a student at BJ in 89/90 I was blessed to be able to attend Mount Calvary Baptist on Wednesday nights and sit under his teaching. I took many notes in the margin of my Bible, that I still refer back to. Pastor Minnick has a way of painting a very clear picture of scripture. The Lord has greatly blessed Pastor Minnick with the tremendous ability to make the most difficult scripture crystal clear. Thank you sermonaudio for your great website!

I was helped with this! Thank you! Thank you Dr. Minnick for your care in this study. I appreciate the Biblical basis for the arguments. This is true and would to God we would take heed.
Pastor Minnick's philosophy of ministry places a priority on serious attention to the precise, systematic exposition of the Word of God, coupled with an emphasis on faithful, systematic community evangelism—taking the Word to the world. His passion is to seek and to display the...
