What is the fruit of the Spirit? Galatians 5:22-23; 1 Corinthians 12:4-6 This is the seventh in our series ,"The Protector". The Holy Spirit indwells the believer and begins to work in him. And the work of the Holy Spirit is to enrich the believer, to enable each of us to experience the John 10:10 abundant life that Jesus wants us to experience. One of the ways the Holy Spirit enriches the believer is by giving us a spiritual gift, by providing a ministry in which to use that gift, and by producing within us an energy that enables us to use that gift.But the Holy Spirit enriches our lives in another way. He also produces within us the fruit of the Spirit.Christians to enable us to do something. The fruit of the Spirit is a quality of life, produced by the Spirit, in the lives of some believers. The purpose of this fruit is Transformation. The fruit of the Spirit is given to us as Christians to enable us to be something. When we make that choice, then the Holy Spirit will produce these things within us, for this is the fruit of the Spirit. And as the Holy Spirit produces this fruit in us, he will enrich our lives.
