Some even making bold statements such as, if Hitler isn't the Anti Christ I'll quit the ministry, or to name a specific date that the Rapture will take place. These errors start with an idea and then research is done to find supporting proof text. At some point they come to believe so strongly that they are able to convince others that they have figured out some mystery. More than likely they don't apply what Jesus said in Mathew 11:25, "I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes." Chapter 11 is about seeking answers to God's mysteries and when Jesus said, "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me". He gave us a hint of what we should be looking for, that being how God has chosen to do things, where His interests lay, what schedule He is working on and how He benefits from doing things His own way.
