Mount Hor, The Shortest way to Get There_04 Num. 20:20-29 Series: Mountains of the Bible. When the shortest way to get from here to there is a straight line. The longest way round is the shortest way home. Both Aaron and Moses would not be allowed to go into the Promised Land because of their disobedience to the Lord. Our paths or our circumstances constantly change all the time. In Aaron's case, he would cease to do what he has done for many years. It was time for him to stop. Life is full of changes. Some folks go through life stagnant because they won't make good changes. Churches are drifting away from Bible preaching. I love singing, and dramas, but they are not to take the place of the preaching of God's Word. The Word of God, empowered by the Spirit of God, changes people's lives. God controls the changes in our personal lives. He controls our starts and stops. The Shortest Way To get There is By the Way of the Cross. I. Change Your Route v.22-24a. II. Change from Rebellion v.24b. III. Change from Restriction v.24a. IV. Change your Robes and Responsibilities v.25, 26a.V. Change Your Residence v.28. We get new jobs and promoted and demoted. We get hired and sometimes fired, resign, or retire. If you are a father or mother, your duties change as your family changes. When children are born into the family, the obligations increase. This world is not your final home. Your address is going to change one day.
