I have read Luke 16 at least a dozen times & have always thought that the rich man was looking up in heaven when appealing to Lazarus. I now understand that our fathers in the Old Testament were in Paradise (a separate part of Hell). They had to be there because Christ had not died on the cross, yet. Thank you.
