God's churches are to be candlesticks which lift up the Light of Christ. The Word, the light to our pathway and the lamp to our feet, is exalted as we let our light so shine before others. We can understand false churches to hide the light, but if a sound church ceases to be a candlestick, it ceases to be a true church of God. What an awesome privilege and what a solemn responsibility. May the Lord grant us His grace and power to enable us to stand faithful to the end.
