This Sunday we will finish our four part series on peacemaking.
We have spoken about the dangers and opportunities of conflict, how we need to first get the log out of our own eye (confessing our sins), how to gently restore a brother who has done wrong, and forgiveness. This final message will cover biblical principles to help believers deal with conflict when both parties believe the fault is primarily on the other side. The Bible teaches attitudes we should have and principles we can following practically pursuing peace. Also, the Scripture sets forth mediation and arbitration as means by which conflict can be resolved. In Corinth believers were suing each other in court. In Philippi two ladies who had worked together for the gospel were at odds. Similar situations continue today. Just this week I have heard of several cases of believers going to court against each other. Scripture teaches a better way.
