This verse holds before us hope looking to the Lord for a blessing he only can bestow. It shows us faith pleading wth God, anticipating again his favour toward his people. It reveals love waiting, looking for opportunities to praise the God of salvation for mercies granted and renewed. All in all, it gives us a sense of a people conscious of their need and with their appetite for the Lord stirred, and expressed in fervent prayer.
