Questions to Ponder 1) What did the Greeks believe about the soul and about the body after death? 2) What is the importance of the word ‘immediately’ in Answer 57? On what Scriptural basis do we confess this? 3) Answer 57 confesses that my soul shall be taken up to Christ. Give some examples from the Bible about those who were taken up. 4) In the resurrection there will be continuity and progression. Explain. 5) We confess that this my flesh will be reunited with my soul. Does this mean we will continue with the eyesight problems, heart problems, arthritis, lisps that identify this my flesh? 6) What do you understand by the transformation or the metamorphosis of the body? Give an example. 7) How does this confession help you at funerals? |
