Pastor James McConnell is due to appear in a Belfast Court tomorrow morning (Thursday 3 September 2015) on account of stating in a sermon preached in his church that Islam is "heathen ... satanic ... a doctrine spawned in hell."
While precious few from the 'liberal left' have publicly supported his right to freedom of expression, some atheists and Muslims, and a host of evangelical Christians have raised their voices in support of his right to say what he did (and of a Muslims right to critique the teachings of Christianity).
In this message delivered on the eve of what we consider to be a ridiculous court case, the spotlight falls on what Islam says about itself.
