Exegesis: The bases on which the church conveys the word of God: through prophetic (and apostolic) authority (vv. 59-60); through divine inspiration (and sovereignty) (vv. 61-62); through Christ's sure (and total) victory (vv. 63-64).
Further application: The difference God's word is to make in us: we are to be encouraged by it—even in dark times; and we are to faithfully preach Christ—even when opposed.
