Paul is accused of being a heretic for believing what God says in the Law and the Prophets. Bible believers are always accused of being heretics by the political churches.
And Bible believers are always falsely accused. Todays Roman, Orthodox and Protestant scholars malign and slander the Montanists, Paulicians, Vaudois/Waldenses, Brethren, Anabaptists, Hussites, Huegenots, Baptists, etc. with all sorts of inflated and, in cases simply FALSE accusations. These Pharisees gag on gnats and swallow the camel of heresy that they defend in their own 'faith traditions'.
And then you have the God-rejecting liberals, called Saduccess in Paul's day, giving Bible believers grief for believing the Bible.
Paul will give testimony to the risen Lord Jesus and have Felix quaking in his boots by the time he is done. But Felix serves the god of mammon and misses his chance as he reasons that there will be a more convenient time.
A more convenient time never seems to come for most. And it never seemed to arrive for Felix.
