1) To believe the true gospel we have to hear, understand and believe God's arguments and align with them.
2) Men have come up with formulas of salvation that are contrary to God's formula because they do not agree with His way of doing things. To not agree God is the essence of unbelief.
3) Men have to know who they are as God has spoken and described us and in that to understand God's assessment of our INability to cause our own salvation.
4) God describes all men as sinners who have no ability whatsoever to help or cause in their own salvation.
5) The sinner is confronted with one question that they have to answer to God's satisfaction if that shall ever meet with God in peace and it is how they shall be made righteous before Him?
6) Many peoples have their own traditions and formulas that are agreeable with them, but are in opposition to God's revealed way of righteousness.
7) The answer to men's real need and most pressing question is the righteousness of God revealed which is by the faithfulness of Jesus Christ.
