The many events surrounding us should not alarm us unless we need an alarm clock to wake us up out of spiritual apathy or laziness. Jesus said, these things would come and not to be troubled. He wants us to be awake, prepared for every good work, and ready to give an answer of the hope that lies within us with meekness and fear (1 Peter 3:15). This morning, we will turn to the following passage for encouragement and admonition to be prepared for the opportunities we have before us. Will we as a church be called to action? Will we be the hands and feet of Jesus? Will we isolate ourselves and think we do not have a responsibility to our fellow man? Will we see the time that we live in, the time that we have, and the time we might have left in order to redeem it for the glory of God? We have spent plenty of time doing other things. The title this morning is “High Time.” We will consider the following from Romans 13:11-14, 1) The Time of Our Lives 2) The Signs of the Time 3) The Time to Be Awake.
