What we call "the fossil record" is a collection of dead skeletons buried in water laid sediment. They are a record literally written in stone of the judgments that God brought upon all in the ancient world who were found outside Noah's ark on the Day of God's wrath. Today many gaze into the fossil record and come to the conclusion that there is no God, there will be no judgement, and the universe will continue as it always has. But the fact that God destroyed the world that was tells us that He will also destroy the world that is, not with water, but with fire. There is a Day of Judgment coming, and only those who are found in Jesus Christ will obtain God's eternal mercies.
