17, And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, (5) or, for them and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree; 18, Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee. 19, Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in. 20, Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: 21, For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. 22, Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

You Made My Heart to Quake You are a powerful preacher, Brother Fortner. Your preaching was that which led me into learning doctrines of grace and began me on my journey of embracing TULIP more fully. Your sermon on Romans 11 really hit home for me. I was recently dealing with a false teacher on Youtube no-less who has been promoting the notion that the Philippines is the Biblical land of Ophir and a strong candidate for the ancient site of the garden of Eden--fascinating subjects, but the speaker also injected teachings that were peculiar. First, he would use apocryphal books like The Jubilees and slip in law-keeping and works-based religion, like observing the Ten Commandments. Naturally my hackles went up and I rebuked him for it. Secondly, he would use substitute names for Jesus and God, namely "Yahuwah" and "Yehosha" despite the fact he's an English-speaker. It always offends me when people invent "Hebrew" sounding names and I suspect he was part of the Sacred Name/Hebrew Roots cult. I have never known any other God or blessed name than that revealed to us in holy writ, it is JESUS to whom I shall always pray. But my heart shook starting at 32'43" like you were talking right to me, Don. God's warning not to stray after other gods like "Yahuwah" or "Yehosha" and I pray I never will. Thank you.
