As Christians, our hope is the eternity that God has prepared for his redeemed people. At the same time we must keep before our minds the fact that most people are not going to heaven when they die, but to eternal punishment. This is their own doing - not God's. God has done all that an Almighty God could possibly do to keep people from perishing eternally. From now until the trumpet sounds the only real hope that exists for the lost human race is that the redeemed of the Lord live in such a way that they can see Christ in us. If we truly believe in God's promises we will surely be willing to turn loose of the things of this world that cause the lost around us to think there is no difference in us and them, and to put on the Lord Jesus Christ.
