When the Wise Men came to Bethlehem, they found a child, not baby. They showed up when Joseph and Mary were living in a house, not in a manger. The Magi (Wise Men) were traveling over a year and they were looking for Someone not knowing how long they would need to go. Sometimes, when we follow after the Lord, we will not know how long the journey take or where we will go. They key is not movement, the key is obedience. We must ask the Lord for wisdom and He will direct our steps. Even though the Magi had limited knowledge, they were following the light they did have. When God inhabits the praises of His people, He shows up. Our physical expression should be that of worship to the Lord. When we come to worship the Lord we need to bring something. What should be on our minds is how do we give thanks. We can offer the Lord clean hands and a pure heart and so we must repent. We should rather go to jail for obeying God, then be out of jail for disobeying God. We should not want to be bad, we should want to be holy. We are not to be afraid of the King, governments, bad people, and the like. If we are in Christ, we have nothing to be afraid of. We need to obey God immediately.
