Is heaven real? C. S. Lewis wrote in The Great Divorce that "Heaven is reality itself", meaning that it is the ultimate reality, but that is still somewhat abstract. Although God is present everywhere, heaven is a place where God specially manifests His presence to rule His creation and to bless His people. The Lord Jesus Christ promised believers that He returned there to prepare a place for us so that we may be with Him. The apostle Paul wrote that we will "always be with the Lord" (1 Thessalonians 4:17) after the saints are snatched away from the earth. That emphasis from the Lord Jesus and Paul reminds us of the most important aspect of heaven: we will be with God our Savior, loving, worshipping and serving Him forever. It will be a beautiful place beyond description, but only because we will be with Him, see His face, and He will wipe every tear from our eyes.
