We praise our God who always sends us two things: affliction and comfort. 1. Whenever God allows affliction to touch us, God provides comfort. (v.1-3a) 2. Why won't God prevent our affliction? (v.3b-4) God allows our affliction, so that we can better appreciate: a) that God's nature is to comfort, He constantly comforts us. (v.3b) b) that affliction comes with God's comfort, & the comfort is greater! (v.4) c) that we become channels of God's comfort to other sufferers! (v.4) 3. We each get the twin pack: both affliction and comfort through Christ. (v.5-7) How can Christians accept our sufferings? What sort of comforts does God give us?
