An ancient question with which philosophers have often wrestled is, how do you know what you know and how do you that what you know is actually true? This basic question has never been adequately answered by humanistic philosophy and will never be adequately answered as long as humanistic philosophy rejects, out-of-hand, any notion of divine revelation and any notion of fallen human reason and senses. The Pharisees' and the vast majority of the Jews' spiritual blindness and inability to mentally process the dazzling truth which stood before them in the person of Jesus Christ, is exhibit "A" in the case against the proposition that all we need is more information or more powerful signs in order to come to a knowledge of the Truth. The Jews were looking in the correct place, but they were unable nonetheless. Their unregenerate mind and will rejected the Truth and sought honor and assurance somewhere other than in Jesus Christ – the revelation of the Father made flesh, and the Divine Logos. Let us not be confused. The Jews of Jesus' day held to their rejection, and the foundational principles of it, with a religious zeal. Their zeal did not overcome the their blindness and irrationality. Rather, it increased it! Let us beware that we do not do likewise. – Pastor Schlegel
