David trusted God. God's promise to deliver those He has given salvation are sure. This however does not mean that God's children do not encounter difficult times. David had enemies which slandered his character and schemed to take his life! We too may face traps laid by those who dislike us simply because we are Christians. Although David was in distress and at times we can be too, he declared as we should that God is our rock and fortress! For the sake of His name He leads us, guides us, delivers us and in His unfailing love saves us! For our times are not in the hands of our enemies, but in God's hands.
