Everyone believes in election. Some believe man elects. Some believe God did the electing. The latter is the teaching of the Scriptures. Jesus taught and practiced election. Three times on Passover eve Jesus says to His disciples "you have not chosen me but I have chosen you." Paul loved God's election and grace. For that reason He put them succinctly in one phrase, "the election of grace" (Romans 11:5).
