The Study of Eagles is interesting in the Scriptures. Exodus 19.4 Is the first mention of Eagles in the Bible.
In Exodus 19 Moses goes up on Mount Sinai to talk with God and then he is to go back to the Nation of Israel and he is to speak God's Word to them. Ex 19.3 KJV And Moses went up unto God, and the Lord called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel; 4 Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.
Moses is to remind the people of God of their deliverance from the Egyptians and that God had brought them to Himself.
In the Book of Deuteronomy Moses also mentions the Eagle: Just like an eagle cares for her young God cared for His people Israel. Deut 32:9 KJV For the Lord's portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance. 10 He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye. 11 As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings: 12 So the Lord alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him. As the Eagles does with her young…So the Lord does with His people. In Deut 32.11… As an eagle stirreth up her nest,
God's Word uses Eagles as examples to us, you and I today can learn a lot from Eagles.
If you understand the Eagles Ways you can begin to understand God's Ways. If you understand how and Eagle builds you'll understand how God builds.
God's desire was to draw Israel to Himself. As the Eagle works was how God works. |
