The topic of Post-Modernism is not usually a familiar one to most Christian believers. It does not have its origin in the Christian church but nevertheless it has entered the culture, the church and the thinking of individual Christians to the extent that it has become a highly significant factor in the world today. This has occurred slowly and subtly without sufficient awareness on the part of Christians. Our study has been exploring Post Modernism in this age, generally, and its entry into the Church in particular. We have introduced the “Emerging Church” where Post-Modern thinking not only denies the clear teaching of Scripture but the message of Jesus and the Gospel itself. Our current section focuses on dismantling the challenges presented by Post Modernism and the Emerging Church. This session deals with Salvation itself, its necessity, its means and its biblical foundations, all of which have be under the assault of postmodernism and its offspring, the Emerging Church.
A course notebook is being developed concurrently with this series on “Worldviews in Collision – Post Modernism vs Christianity.” It will be offered at the conclusion of the course at a nominal charge on request.
