“ Book βem ”
In this sermon, Jerry warns of the mishandling of Godβs Word by some preachers who rob people of the gospel. He says there are two major pulpit crimes: 1. Turning the Bible into therapy and 2. Turning the Bible into a book about you and your life, instead of what it really is: THE BOOK ABOUT JESUS. As is typical for Dodson, a great deal of the sermon deals with election, which was important to Jerry, because it gives 100% of the glory God. Some scriptures covered are:

Preaching that soothes but does not highlight our desperate need for Jesus, Who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life is a massive pulpit crime. Be vigilant and donβt let it happen to you. |
