The Colossians were judged to be bad Christians if they disobeyed all the rules and were judged to be good Christians if they submitted to them.Paul warns against letting rituals and regulations overshadow the centrality of this relationship, reminding us that our union with Christ is far more valuable and transformative than any outward observance.Our relationship with Christ is like that. If we will see it as a relationship which is in the process of being developed, we will have the opportunity to experience each day the serendipitous grace of God. There is no joy on earth like the joy that comes from walking through life with Jesus Christ.
