Approximately 60-62, Paul wrote back to this church and sent this letter through Tychicus to the beloved brothers and sisters in Ephesus. This letter is what the church would have read all at one time. They would have been reminded of the grace of God in their personal salvation. They would have realized they had been swept up in God’s work from eternity past (1:4- chose us in Him from the foundation of the world) to eternity future (2:7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.) This far sweeping work of God had practical implications for them in their day. He closes the letter writing:
Ephesians 6:21 But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things: 22 Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts. 23 Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
