“ Born Again in CHRIST ” Raised RC , I thought not about Christ and never read the Bible. The priests / nuns certainly tried to “whip” me into shape with repeated rote prayer, pondering of statues, adherence to rules, memorizing catechisms and confessions. Hindsight proved this to be an enormous blessing as I outright rejected this religion/pagan cult. However still without the Gospel my sin did flourish and I was falling deeper. Fast forward, to age 46, God put a saint in my midst who asked me THE question that changed everything ...

Shortly after that someone who knew the old me and witnessed the new me, asked was I born again? At that point this phrase was not in my vernacular, but I thought about it for a moment then blurted “ Yes, I am born again!” I startled myself, like a child having just learned something amazing!
