Jonah, like every born again believer, was given instructions to go and spread the gospel but his target audience wasn't part of his plans. He chose therefore to not obey God's instructions. Satan will make it very convenient to go our own way. Sin will entangle us and it will cost us to disobey God. The continuous display of disobedience will pull us down from our fellowship with God. If the Lord is calling on you to do something yield to Him, He will make a way for you to do as you are so instructed.
