That if I am going to grow in God. That I am not going to be satisfied with my relationship with God where I am today. If we are satisfied with where we are with God today, not saying that that just because of where you're at today. I'm not in a good place. But it's a part of that desire. And we see it here in the parable where Jesus says some yield 30, some 60, some a hundredfold. I see a growth there. And the sobering parts of this as we see in this parable again. That this morning, if you are not growing in God. In your relationship with Jesus Christ. If you're not growing, then most likely you're dying. And that's the sobering part, as we think about. Indifference with God is not helping me grow. In God. And I want. To be careful when I say this because I. I'm not talking about just because I'm in a struggle that I'm not. I'm not exactly where God wants me to be, but at the same time there there's some of those struggles in our lives, and I think God uses to wake us up. And say, Lauren, you need to do something different here. The thing that I believe is why it's so important as we think about too many times we want to, we want to put our life sort of on a on a, on a, just an even slope here and we're just we're just coast along. But notice Revelations 316, God has strong words. And he doesn't give much place in between. So and this is the Church of Layout Asia. So then because thou art lukewarm. Neither cold nor hot. What's he going to do to you? He's going to spew them out. He has no place for that. And it's sobering to think about even in my own life. How many times am I content to just be where I'm at? And not desire to grow. |
