As I think about it, this is one of my favorite sermons from the entire chapter. As one of the major themes of the epistle is the inclusion of Gentiles into God's covenant people, it is this passage that affirms the fundamental nature of the Christian Church.... that it is built upon the Apostles and Prophets and the cornerstone of Jesus Christ... that this institution alone is the Church indwelt by God through His Spirit.
