The sixth chapter of John finds Jesus back in Galilee. He journeyed from Capernaum to the region on the east side of the sea of Galilee to teach His disciples. A large crowd of people followed Him because they saw the miracles He did. This crowd, however, was similar to those in Judea in the 2nd chapter who believed in Him because they saw the signs. Jesus used the occasion to test the disciples, particularly Philip and Andrew. Jesus was God and nothing is impossible with Him. He was able to provide a satisfying meal to this large crowd and have 12 basketfuls remaining. He did this with 5 barley biscuits and 2 sardines. Like in the exodus from Egypt, Jesus met the needs Israel in the wilderness. Do you believe that He can meet your every need?
