This message was given by Pastor Jonathan Stobbs as he continued his evening ministry in the book of 1 Samuel. Is there a connection between sacrifice and song? For the believer there definately should be, and it is such that the world cannot understand. God's people in the midst of their sacrifice can sing because they know that God is good. Hannah's song of praise majored on God's grace, His favour towards undeserving people. If you are a believer then you too should have a song of grace on your heart. It also spoke of God's victory over His enemies, and the way that He is a God of the impossible. When circumstances can seem overwhelming for the individual, He can intervene to work in ways they never thought possible. It also spoke of how God is sovereign and he will always work and accomplish His purposes without fail. Pastor Stobbs explores a number of practical lessons that show themselves in this passage. This includes looking at praise, perspective, provision, protection, and promise. The God of heaven is a wonderful God, and in Hannah's song we see that she is caught up in Him. How we should pray that we might know Him in such a real way! This message points us in the right direction.
