Christ the Dayspring Luke 1:78-79The world has never been the same since the birth of the Dayspring in Bethlehem two-thousand years ago. The babe that was wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger, came to give us His life and His gift of eternal life which left Him wrapped in grave clothes lying in a borrowed tomb for three days.Jesus is the Dayspring of the believer. The ascension or rising Son in our own lives leaves us awakened to His truth, assured of His salvation, aware of our limitations, alert to Satan's attacks, and anticipating His soon return. Darkness flees at daybreak because of the rising sun. Daybreak reveals the beauty that surrounds all of us. The Dayspring, Jesus Christ brings forth beauty in the person that puts his faith in Him, giving strength, serenity, and stability. True, genuine beauty is a godly man, woman, or child. That is the kind of beauty we should desire in ourselves.
