Being deceived is embarrassing & dangerous for bad company ruins lives. How do we deal with trials for to stay faithful even under pressure is difficult. There are 3 areas of deceit: 1) deceit of status. God makes the lowly as well as the wealthy. Our qualities are not found in our status. There are trials for the poor as well as the rich. We unfortunately often try to find our satisfaction in things. Only in Christ can we find our treasure. 2). Deceit of imputation: Christ righteousness is put on my account OR do we set blame on someone else, for we need to cling to God's sovereignty because God cannot be tempted with evil. 3). Deceit of self: we are lured and enticed by our own sin. God wants us to overcome the sin. Many times the sin becomes rooted in our hearts. We should indoctrinate ourselves with who God is and He brings us forth with His word of truth.
