Acts 17 records the apostles visit to Thessalonica where a mob is gathered against them, causing them to leave the city and move to Berea. At Berea, we read that the people 'were more noble' and 'received the word with all readiness of mind'.
Are we spiritually noble? In this sermon, we examine what exemplary, noble preaching is, and how we can be exemplary, noble listeners.
We see how Paul and Silas would have exalted Christ and spoken of His person and work at Calvary. They would have reasoned with the people, demonstrating that Christ alone could fulfil their greatest needs.
In response, the Bereans were enthusiastic to hear from the scriptures, ready and receptive to the truths that were preached.
Noble preaching and noble hearing meant that 'many of them believed'.
