We continue to look at the life of Samson. While Samson spoke a riddle, he was in ways a riddle himself. We see him as a personification of his own nation Israel. We see Samson acting strangely in desiring a wife from Timnah, a Philistine. Yet, we see God was directing it all.
In looking at this passage we see that there are misconceptions about Samuel and it was through his weakness that God demonstrated His power. We are also reminded that believers should only marry believers and see how Samson's marriage was in no way a good one.
