No Creed but Christ is a biblicist's idea that leads to many heretical views at worst, and denies the work of the Holy Spirit throughout the history of the church, rejecting orthodox creeds and confessions. Biblicism tends to ignore both the local and greater Biblical context in which a verse is found and builds doctrine on isolated texts (a dangerous hermeneutic). This day we explore a bit of the history of Biblicism in the past and its dangers and look for the remedies to avoid such a myopic view of the Scriptures.
