Proverbs 22:12 devotional_PT1 This word to the wise is given by Solomon. This is talking about when God settles accounts. Proverbs 22:12 (KJV) The eyes of the LORD preserve knowledge, and he overthroweth the words of the transgressor. What God thinks about you is important, very important. Remember, God does not judge people by their possessions and wealth. Unlike humans, who idolize and cater to the rich, God is unmoved by the size of a person's house, bank accounts, and portfolios. The Duties of the Wise and the Righteous, 22:1-16. 1. Know the value God places upon every individual (vv. 1-2). 2. Know a man reaps what he sows (vv. 3-11). 3. Know God opposes certain types of people (vv. 12-16). Any of us who pervert the truth, are lazy, refuse to discipline our children, or oppress or bribe others are opposed by God. We will fail in our endeavors and God will judge us. Now, grasp the ultimate lesson of Solomon's proverbs: success in life comes through trusting and fearing the Lord. If we refuse to obey Him, we forfeit our right to have God's presence and help as we walk through life. Without His blessing and favor, we will fail in life.
