This Sunday we will study Acts 3:19-26. It is the completion of Peter's second sermon. He has just declared to them that they killed the Prince of life and they need to repent and be converted. In the rest of the sermon, Peter is clear. The choices are clear. Either they (and we) repent and be converted or receive God's wrath. Either we receive the times of refreshing and the blessings that come from the eternal Seed or we will be utterly destroyed from among the people. Those are the only two directions, blessing or cursing. From the beginning of the world, it was declared. Moses said it. Every prophet from Samuel onward. They all said the same thing, believe in the Christ and be blessed. May we not be like their fathers, who here the words of the prophets and hate them and received the wrath of God. Instead, may we enter into and see the multitudes of blessings by being in Christ.
